sat. day 5

up at 4 gone 450 on the way to Golden,jen& Ileft at 615 8 defrees caught tom &ross 6:50 rained tom needed to change wet socks & Gatorade I warmed his feet for him . a bit of a climb now 60km in. they dressed warm for the decent. Jen & I shopped ,met them about 1030 & they were already stipping , they had a few long climbs and the temp rose to 14. hot! down to biking gear again with now 104 in J&I went ahead to Golden to find a place to stay after the 3rd place we settled in at a ponderosa inn. we head to the mediums to flag them down arrived around 1245. men are sastisfied with their day hard and long 148k .in. in front of our inn is a row of mountains w snow peaks our last half hour was like this. men had a rest J&I went to do laundry, i did a bit of shopping as its someones 65 birthday on monday and got jen a coffee travelling mug. The boy have 713 km in and everying is going great, specially the cenery, its now 19 we are enjooying the sun ,then bq steaks. lost an hour here, mountain time. heading to Banff tomorrow. probably staying on#1 to lake louise another 148 km bike.
